Bovingdon Airfield is located just outside the village of Bovingdon in Hertfordshire on the B4505 between Chesham and Hemel Hempstead. It is easily accessible and approximately fifteen minutes drive from either the M25 Junction 20 or M1 Junction 8.
Used during the war as an operational airfield, it was closed in 1972 and is now available for hire.
The airfield has a large expanse of concrete runway over half a mile long which is ideal for vehicle testing and events, as well as filming action shots and stunts. Most of the buildings that were on the airfield have been demolished, the only one remaining being the control tower, which is now derelict.
The airfield is also ideal for events such as stunt shows and firework displays.
The airfield is home to Bovingdon Market which takes place on Saturdays and Bank Holiday Mondays.
